Job Description

Responsibilities :

        Defining and Implementation of Scope of Work;

        Coordinate and implement the Project Baseline schedule in conjunction with the Project Manager

        Assist Project Manager with Project Closeout Schedule with Material take offs and Submittal Review

        Provide Progress Report with Three-Week Look-Ahead Schedule to the Project Manager and field staff

        Provide Project manager with daily site information (Daily reports), including instrumentation work in progress, jobsite project progress, jobsite issues, receiving slips for material received, and rental equipment utilization

        Assist Project Manager to prepare Variation Orders for the delays or activities which are attributable to Client

        Schedule, monitor, and control the day-to-day- execution of the instrumentation works, progress and performance of the project

        Ensure the instrumentation installation is carried out in accordance with design drawings and specifications

        Work closely with each team member to identify gaps in each discipline

        Work with Instrumentation Engineers and site team to survey quantities and measure actual works done

        Work with Instrumentation Engineers and site team to prepare Material requisitions according to design drawings and coordinate with PSCM department to purchase correct materials

        Define all site needs to take prompt action in time

        Order materials in time to avoid causing delay in project

        Inspection of installed plant and documentation prior to setting to work and commissioning;

        Oversee pre-commissioning and commissioning activities;

        Driving the installation, testing and certification of all aspects of the instrumentation installation;

        Record all inspection and test results on relevant certificates

        Supervising and mentoring field personnel;

        Plan in detail site activities, to ensure these activities are executed in a safe and timely way and meet the agreed project quality plan;

        Assist in achieving all project KPI`s;

        Co-ordinate & liaise with suppliers, client, in-house functions, site installations and construction teams;

        Maintain a daily Superintendent Log, tracking day to day activities, delays, project issues, etc.;

        Create a clear execution installation plan, including planning job task labor, and material deliveries;

        Oversee personnel administration (field staff), including daily timesheets, performance reviews, attendance and time off requests.

        Responsible for the review of instrumentation detail within the method statements and risk assessments Responsibility for ensuring that ‘Toolbox talks’ are being effectively delivered on a regular basis and that the topics are relevant to the project;

        Ensure all health and safety documentation is in place, is appropriate, specific, communicated, understood and amended as and when required;

Requirements :

Job Qualifications and Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation Engineering 
  • Skilled field superintendent with at least 8 years of experience managing crews and running industrial construction projects.
  • Soft Skills ( MS Offiice, AutoCAD)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Familiar with reading Instrumentation drawings such as Hook-Ups, P&ID, Wiring & Loop Diagrams, Cable Lists etc
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
