Responsibilities :
Main Responsibilities
• Manage all operations within a country/region taking responsibility for profit, revenue and overall performance of the entity
• Thoroughly research the country/region and adapt strategies accordingly to ensure competitive advantage
• Identify and follow up business development opportunities, and make recommendations on how best to implement new projects and which opportunities to prioritize
• Think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business
• Build strong professional relationships with all clients through understanding of their requirements and ensuring their needs are being met
• Develop and manage a highly professional team to provide quality services to existing and future customers
• Agree annual budget and produce a detailed annual business operating plan as well as prepare business performance reports to the head office on a monthly or quarterly basis
• Lead the preparation of viable bids, proposals for incremental growth and new business across the region
• Look at options to broaden and deepen the existing business portfolios, create new partnerships with international service providers and suppliers
• Have a good understanding of the businesses' products or services and be able to advise others about them
• Ensure the timely delivery of agreed plans and projects
• Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators
• Work with the region’s partners to cultivate target relationship and generate and convert business development opportunities
• Research and identify new business opportunities (including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships and services) or new ways of reaching existing markets
• Set in place and manage the relevant business processes and procedures to be compliant with international practices and standards
• Ensure that all business activities comply with legal regulations, ethics and policies regarding general duties and management
• Contribute to processes for continuous improvement in business development practice
• Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events
• Undertake responsibility to comply with all the Occupation Health, Safety and Sanitation requirements applied within the company
Requirements :
Essential criteria & qualifications
• University degree (in business administration, management, finance or a related field)
• At least 7-10 years of relevant working experience (Construction field).
• A good knowledge base of the country/region
• The ability to provide excellent customer service
• Good people-management skills
• Proven problem solving and organizational skills
• Well-developed communication, presentation and negotiation skills
• Ability to work under pressure and cope with deadlines and competing demands
