Job Description
Responsibilities :
• Evaluate portfolio companies based on financial attractiveness and strategic fit, develop portfolio recommendations accordingly
• Analyze future capital requirements/intensity and set medium to long term aspirations, priorities and strategic themes
• Monitor and track business performance against short-term and long-term targets
• Conduct CAPEX and OPEX monitoring through relevant KPIs, metrics and templates
• Regularly monitor execution progress of the projects (e.g., actual vs plan investment spending, timeline, milestones and etc.)
• Prepare and discuss portfolio recommendations with relevant boards and committees (Investment Committee, Supervisory Board and etc.)
Requirements :
Successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in the areas of expertise
• Oil and Gas, Corporate Banking, Financial Advisory & Consulting or other relevant experience
• Professional qualification such as CFA, ACCA, or CIMA are advantageous
• Quantitative/numerical skills are critical with the ability to interpret financial information and to design and use financial models
• Financial analysis skills, with the ability to interpret financial statements, understanding local and international accounting principles
• Understanding of general business principals and guidelines
• Computer literacy, conversant with Microsoft Office and spread sheet packages including financial analysis and modelling modules
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in Azerbaijani and English, including reports/memorandums writing
• Commitment to work effectively as a team member and to meet deadlines
• Multi-tasking skills and excellent time management skills
