Job purpose
To effectively manage base operations and logistics, ensuring that staff, resources and vehicles are allocated in order to deliver operational requirements, proactively foreseeing and taking ownership of issues which arise.
To lead and coordinate the workload of the base team to deliver standardised procedures and ways of working. Taking ownership of short, medium and long term resource planning to ensure consistently high service levels and a safe and smooth operation.
To act as the on-site manager and deputise for the Operations Manager when required
Responsibilities :
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
- Lead and coordinate the workload of the base team and take on line management responsibility
- Manage and co-ordinate the day-to-day logistics, allocation and stores functions to ensure that the right equipment is in the right place at the right time, taking a hands on approach
- Ensure that forward planning and equipment allocation are carried out in a timely manner
- Engage and build relationships with operational staff, and internal and external service providers such as facilities management
- Ensure that health and safety practices and driver compliance requirements are understood and stringently observed
- Ensure the team make best use of equipment and processes in most efficient way of working, ensuring that working systems are up-to-date and current
- Ensure timesheets and other paperwork are issued accurately and in a timely manner
- Support Company site management with all administrative and operational activities
Requirements :
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Oil & Gas industry
- Experience on position of Material Coordinator and/or Logistics manager in O&G industry
- Knowledge of Material and Warehouse management
- Experience of a service delivery environment (eg warehouse )
- Experience of supervising or managing team and knowledge of related policies, practice and procedures
- Drive, energy and enthusiasm
- Have excellent communications skills and the ability to influence a team; tactful and diplomatic
- Knowledge of Wireline and Workover Operations is a plus
- Knowlegde of English, Russian languages is a plus
- Demonstrate excellent planning, organisational and administration skills
- Health & Safety awareness and ability to learn vehicle and driver compliance requirements
