Job Description
Investment Monitoring division is part of Portfolio Management and Investment Monitoring Department. The purpose of the division is to review of projects Capex performance during Project Execute & Operate stages in line with project stage gate process with the objective to ensure effective utilization of capital expenditures and economic returns.
Responsibilities :
Key Accountabilities
1. Drive the regular Capex monitoring of projects (investments) compared to annual approved budgets and Final Investment Decisions (FIDs) based on the established staged gate process
2. Lead the establishment of project's progress monitoring process during Execute stage and Operate/Review stages
3. Drive the review the economics of projects post FID, with the analysis on factors affecting project returns and provide the recommendations to the management
4. Steer the comparative analysis of projects performance across BU
5. Support Portfolio Management Division during projects sequencing, prioritization and optimization
Requirements :
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or any related discipline
• Master’s degree, MBA, CFA, ACCA, CIMA or similar would be an advantage
• At least 5-7 years of relevant experience in Asset portfolio management, M&A activities, Financial Modeling, Corporate strategy, Corporate Finance or similar functions
• At least 3 -5 years of experience in people management and leadership position
• Experience and good knowledge of energy industry would be an advantage
• Strong leadership, organizational, analytical and communication skills
• Fluency in Azerbaijani and English
