About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Procurement Manager to oversee the sourcing and procurement of
goods and services for our upcoming event in November 2024 in Azerbaijan. The
Procurement Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective
acquisition of resources while adhering to quality standards and budgetary constraints.
Responsibilities :
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the needs of the event,
including sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.
• Identify and assess potential vendors, suppliers, and contractors, both locally and
internationally, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
• Negotiate terms and conditions with vendors to secure favorable pricing, payment
terms, and service levels.
• Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and
accurate fulfillment of orders.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts, purchase
orders, and vendor performance evaluations.
• Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost
savings and process improvements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the Operations Director, Financial
Director, and Project Managers, to align procurement activities with overall project
objectives.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and ethical standards in procurement
practices.
Requirements :
Required Skills:
• Previous experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the
events or hospitality industry.
• Fluency in Azerbaijani and English, with excellent verbal and written communication
skills in both languages.
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and
persuade stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a focus on attention to
detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in procurement software and systems, with the ability to analyze data and
generate reports.
