Job Description
Responsibilities :
• Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations;
• Ensure accurate calculation and timely remittance of payroll taxes, including state, and local taxes, as well as any other statutory deductions;
• Maintain accurate payroll records, including employee information, earnings, deductions, and taxes withheld, ensuring compliance with recordkeeping requirements;
• Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management, HR, and other stakeholders, providing insights into payroll expenses, trends, and variances;
• Coordinate and participate in payroll audits, ensuring compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements;
• Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes, improve efficiency, and enhance controls, implementing changes as needed;
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll-related matters, providing timely and accurate information and assistance;
• Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations, and best practices, ensuring compliance and recommending adjustments to payroll processes as needed;
• Support Accounting Supervisor with financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations;
• Provide payroll data for budgeting and financial planning;
• Collaborate with HR to ensure that employee payroll information is up to date and accurate.
Requirements :
Required Experience & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance;
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in finance & accounting and 3 years’ experience in payroll;
• Strong knowledge of payroll systems, tax laws, and wage regulations;
• Experience with payroll software is mandatory;
• F3 ACCA qualification is mandatory;
• Proficiency written and verbal Azerbaijani and English languages;
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook with the aptitude to learn new software quickly.
