Job Description

As part of the Deputy Operations Manager role, the candidate will oversee the pricing and quotation process to ensure accuracy, competitiveness, and profitability. This involves collaborating with the sales and operations teams to develop cost-effective and realistic project proposals.

Responsibilities :

1. Quotation Management:
o Supervise the preparation and review of pricing quotations for project logistics services, including transportation, handling, storage, and special requirements.
o Ensure all quotations align with client requirements, operational capabilities, and company profit margins.
o Conduct detailed cost analyses to validate the accuracy of pricing components (labor, equipment, transport, etc.).
2. Cross-Department Collaboration:
o Work closely with the sales team to understand client needs and tailor quotations accordingly.
o Liaise with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive rates for third-party services.
o Coordinate with operations teams to confirm feasibility and timelines for quoted services.
3. Approval and Reporting:
o Approve or escalate quotations based on complexity, cost, or client profile.
o Maintain records of all quotations for future reference and audits.
o Provide regular reports on quotation success rates, profitability, and areas for improvement.
4. Continuous Improvement:
o Monitor market trends and competitor pricing to ensure competitiveness.
o Identify and implement strategies to streamline the pricing process and reduce costs.
o Train team members on pricing best practices and tools.

Strong analytical and financial acumen to evaluate costs and profit margins.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify errors or inconsistencies in pricing.
Proficiency in using quotation and pricing software/tools.
Good negotiation skills for securing favorable vendor rates.
