Job Description

Responsibilities :

  • Development of a strategic logistics plan in alignment with the corporate strategy and the procurement department's strategy;

  • Budget planning for logistics operations, monitoring and controlling its correct and optimal use;

  • Design, budgeting, and implementation of logistics and warehouse operation accounting systems, as well as information flow systems;

  • Analysis of logistics workflows, customs clearance processes, and warehouse centers; establishment of evaluation metrics, goals, and objectives (establishment and assessment of KPIs);

  • Distribution of duties and responsibilities among employees and control over their execution;

  • Decision-making related to the optimization and cost-saving of the company’s logistics and customs expenses;

  • Building strong relationships with customs authorities (document submission, payment processing), resolving emerging issues;

  • Ensuring and controlling the efficient functioning of warehouse centers (placement and storage of goods, rational use of warehouse space, compliance with storage conditions, document flow, loading/unloading operations);

  • Conducting negotiations with counterparties (transport agents, brokers, declarants, 3PL providers) to conclude more favorable deals, analyzing the quality of their services, streamlining cooperation, and resolving conflicts;

  • Preparation of the annual operating expense budget to ensure uninterrupted functioning of the department, controlling its use, and making necessary adjustments;

  • Preparation of a weekly work plan, updating task statuses, setting priorities, and ensuring task completion;

  • Establishing communication and collaboration with other departments to achieve common goals;

  • Training and motivating employees, improving team performance quality;

  • Providing necessary reports to company management.

Requirements :


Higher education

At least 5 years in a similar position

CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply)
