Responsibilities :
The Finance Director will provide strategic and operational leadership across all finance functions, ensuring strong financial governance, compliance, and value creation for the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic financial direction, advising senior management on performance, risks, capital allocation, and long-term planning.
• Develop financial policies, strengthen internal controls, and ensure overall financial integrity across the group.
• Oversee timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
• Lead consolidation of multiple entities, ensuring proper intercompany reconciliation and completeness of group results.
• Direct the external audit process and manage reporting requirements for headquarters, lenders, regulators, and stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to financial, regulatory, and internal control standards.
• Lead all accounting operations, including AP, AR, general ledger, fixed assets, and month-end/year-end close.
• Maintain robust accounting processes and ERP system effectiveness.
• Implement new accounting standards and ensure accuracy, transparency, and timeliness across all accounting activities.
• Oversee corporate tax, VAT, transfer pricing, and all statutory tax compliance matters.
• Manage tax planning, optimization opportunities, and relationships with tax authorities and advisors.
• Ensure timely and accurate tax filings and resolve tax audits or queries.
• Lead annual budgeting and multi-year financial planning with department collaboration.
• Conduct variance analysis, monitor budget controls, and provide clear financial insights to guide decision-making.
• Continuously enhance financial models, templates, and budgeting processes.
• Ensure adequate liquidity for operations, debt service, and shareholder returns.
• Prepare financial forecasts for treasury planning and monitor working capital efficiency.
• Oversee banking relationships in corporate level and cash management strategies.
• Monitor compliance with loan agreements, covenants, and reporting obligations.
• Lead corporate-level debt management and oversee project financing activities.
• Review financial terms of contracts with suppliers, partners, and investors.
• Oversee cost controls and approval processes, ensuring alignment with budgets and financial strategies.
• Identify opportunities to optimize cost structures and enhance operational efficiency.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.
• Foster a culture of accountability, performance excellence, and continuous improvement.
Requirements :
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, CFA, CIMA, or FMVA are highly preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, corporate reporting, budgeting, and financial planning
• Strong expertise in:
IFRS financial reporting and group consolidation
Accounting operations, month-end/year-end close processes
Tax compliance, tax planning, and managing tax authorities
Budgeting & forecasting, financial modelling, and cost management
Treasury & cash flow management
Debt management, loan covenant monitoring, and financing structures
Advanced proficiency in Excel (financial models, analysis tools, reporting dashboards).
Experience with ERP systems and financial management software; ability to drive process automation and system improvements.
Excellent analytical, strategic-thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
