Job Description
Responsibilities :
1. Financial Operations & Control
• Own day-to-day treasury function processes
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closes
• Maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, and process documentation
• Oversee cash management, working capital, and liquidity forecasting
2. Financial Reporting
• Prepare and review management reporting packs (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, KPIs and other key metrics)
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS)
• Coordinate managerial reporting, audits, and regulatory filings (if any)
• Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits
3. Budgeting, Forecasting & Performance Management
• Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic re-forecasts
• Track actuals vs budget and explain variances with clear insights
• Support the CFO with financial modeling, scenario analysis, and decision support
• Translate financial data into actionable insights for business leaders
4. Team Leadership & Development
• Lead, manage, and develop the finance team
• Set performance goals, build scalable processes, and hire as the company grows
• Ensure cross-functional collaboration with operations, sales, HR, and leadership
• Ensure that all necessary policies and procedures are in place
5. Systems, Processes & Scalability
• Own finance systems (ERP, accounting tools, reporting platforms)
• Drive automation, process improvements, and efficiency initiatives
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity across financial systems
6. Business Partnering
• Act as a finance business partner to department heads
• Support pricing, cost optimization, and investment decisions
• Provide financial guidance on contracts, vendor negotiations, and new initiatives
7. CFO Support & Delegation Boundary
• Execute and operationalize the CFO’s financial strategy
• Prepare materials for board meetings, investors, and executive reviews
• Step in as the senior finance lead when the CFO is focused on strategy, fundraising, M&A, or external stakeholders
