Job Description
Responsibilities :
• Provide assistance in the development of the Project Construction Execution Plan;
• Liaise with Engineering to review design and subsequent design deliverables;
• Provide Constructability and Operability input during the early stages of the work.
• Provide leadership in supporting Project HSSE culture by active participation in Contractor’s tool box talks and management safety walk through;
• Provide guidance in the development and compilation of Construction work packs ensuring the inclusion of all necessary deliverables, specifications, safety documentation, job cards, philosophies, strategies, method statements, procedures and other supporting documentation sufficient for the safe and efficient execution of the works;
• Provide Construction technical support for the duration of the Project;
• Management of Construction Contractor work scopes, including guidance on performance improvements;
• Provide input to Construction technical queries/site instructions/deviation requests to ensure timely resolution to the satisfaction of all parties;
• Liaise with Site personnel, implementation teams and others as necessary to ensure all works are carried out in accordance with HSSE, Quality and Project schedule requirements;
• Provide input to the preparation and review of work progress and cost reports for Construction activities;
• Ensure that all changes are captured and managed under the Change Management process;
• Ensure Construction activities are properly managed and delivered to Site’s technical satisfaction;
• Identify areas of concern with respect to Construction progress and recommending corrective actions wherever required;
• Chair Construction weekly progress meetings and participate in senior management review meetings;
• Continuously review work systems and processes to allow for potential improvements or to identify Project risks or opportunities;
• Identify and manage interfaces between all parties on site;
• Provide direction and leadership support to all local direct reports to enable future Projects to maximize local content during Project execution;
• Ensure regular reviews of construction plans, philosophies, execution methods and schedules to identify areas of concern and provide effective Construction Management measures to minimize risk to the Project.
Requirements :
Qualifications
• University Degree in relevant discipline;
• 18+ years of relevant experience in reputable E&C Companies, serving to O&G industry, preferably in Refining and/or Petrochemicals business;
• Competent with relevant international/local codes and standards;
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
• Highly motivated and self-directed with strong communication skills;
• Good written and verbal communication skills (in English, Azeri and Russian
